New Site & MoCCa Art Festival

Hi Everyone,

I know a lot of you have written since there hasn’t been a new comic in, like, forever.  I have good reasons- I’ve been hard at work on making two mini-comic collections of Strings Attached, which I will be debuting this weekend at the MoCCa Art Festival.

For those in the area (or not.  Thanks, Mom), here’s the deal:  it’s a convention of sorts (kind of like a smaller-scale comic-con) for both established and independent cartoonists looking to showcase their work.  It runs this Saturday and Sunday (June 23-24) from 11-6pm at the Puck Building in SoHo (293 Lafayette at Houston), and admission is $8 ($10 for the whole weekend).  I would love any visitors and support, if people are around and want to check it out, especially since this is my first time exhibiting, and I’m quite nervous.

More info is on the MoCCA homepage:

There will also be a new website design, launching soon after MoCCA is over (and possibly before).

Hopefully, I will see some of you there.

New and Improved Strings Attached

Hi Everyone,

Hope you are all enjoying your summer.  Strings Attached is back with a new site and a new storyline.  Thanks again for everyone who came out to MoCCA in June for support.  I had a great time, met some cool people, sold some books, and read lots of comic books.

Strings Attached at MOCCA NY Artfest 2008

Hi Everyone,

Just a quick reminder that this weekend is the MoCCA ArtFest!  It is Saturday and Sunday from 11am to 6pm at the Puck Building in SoHo (293 Lafayette, less than one block south of Houston).  I will be there debuting my new comic strip collection “Strings Attached: Big in Europe.”  It contains most of my comics from the website, as well as a handful of new ones drawn just for the book.

Anyway, the festival is definitely worth checking out since hundreds of artists (most more well-known than me) will be there, there are some great panelists and guests, and tons of free schwag!

For more info on exhibitors, directions, etc. check out http://moccany.org/artfest-main.html

Hope to see some of you there!

:) Ali
